    This is a french butter dish it will hold a half a pound of butter. To use a French butter dish you pack the butter into the lid when it is soft. Add water to the bottom half. The water creates a seal and keep your butter fresh and soft on the counter. This butter dish was made with tan coloured clay,  slip dripped on and mocha diffusion technique used on the wet slip
